We've published a book!

This is not a common article on the Sustainable Knowledge platform. Today, we are not talking about any disruptive concept or idea, neither we are sharing our thoughts nor opinions.
Today, Sustainable Knowledge is celebrating its first anniversary!
It was early October 2019 when the Sustainable Knowledge concept came to our mind, and we started shaping and designing it until we finally launched it on the 12th November 2019, when Miguel Cordero, Juan Alfau and Javier Navamuel presented ourselves as the founders of the Sustainable Knowledge platform. We, together with Péter Pusztai, Sonia Winkels, Víctor Villegas, Daniela Ostilla, Mikel Ruiz and Javier Pérez have created 37 articles in our first year.
A wide variety of topics have been covered in those 37 articles: education, sustainability, productivity tips, agriculture, technology, nutrition, finances, blockchain, politics and books recommendations (among others).
Then, after 37 articles, 9 people exploring, learning and sharing their thoughts we wanted to create a physical manifestation of this project to celebrate the Sustainable Knowledge first anniversary, and it has come to reality as a book in which we have compiled all the written articles.
The main goal of creating the Sustainable Knowledge platform one year ago was to learn and to share that knowledge acquired, and that is why we are explaining how we have created the Sustainable Knowledge book.
Even though it may seem to be quite difficult to publish a book, it is not. Obviously, the first step is to create all the content you want to share. After that, you can have your book at home in less than 5 days.
We have utilised Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) to bring our book to reality. After creating all the content, it is uploaded to KDP platform, and then some specific characteristics need to be set regarding the book design, such as the cover, dimensions and the colour of pages. After all characteristics are defined, Amazon double-checks everything and it is ready to be sold.
Till this point, you have to pay nothing to Amazon. Amazon just charges a fee from the book’s sales, and then, it is up to you the price you want to set for the book, therefore, the profit you get.
In our case, as explained before, it is just a physical memory of all the articles written in our first year, and we do not want to become rich selling this book. That is why the price of the Sustainable Knowledge memory book is just €5 (from which we just get €0,80 profit, that will be reinvested to pay the website domain fee).
We are really excited and proud of the point we have reached with Sustainable Knowledge, but we just want to keep growing and growing every day, keeping ourselves exploring, learning and sharing!
