'Is not my fault'

“Coronavirus spread is not my fault”, however

  • I need the government telling me to stay at home

  • I walk my dog 6 times a day

  • I go to the supermarket twice a week to do my groceries

  • I go to my home village to spend the quarantine with my family

  • I go to my second residency close to the beach to have a better time

  • I don’t use gloves, is not necessary

  • I go to the supermarket every day just to buy bread

  • I go out every day just to buy tobacco

  • I go running with a shopping bag, just in case

“Pollution is not my fault”, however

  • I don’t use public transport because it’s too crowded

  • I buy fruits wrapped in plastic

  • I don’t recycle, in the end, everything goes to the same place

  • who cares if I throw something in the street

  • I don’t recycle, it’s very difficult

  • I don’t carry my bags to the supermarket, I forget them

  • I use the lift instead of stairs

  • I let the heating working the whole day to be warm when I come back home after a long day working

  • I like to wear shorts at home even in winter, so I set the heating temperatures much higher than needed

  • as I have central heating in my building, I let windows opened because it’s too hot, but I don’t care, cause I pay the same

  • I take long and hot showers every morning, I need them to wake up

  • I like to buy new clothes every month, I like to follow fashion 

  • I like to buy low-quality, but high environmental impact products to save money

  • I like to buy a new phone every year, I need the latest technology available to check Whatsapp and Instagram and take photos of my dog

  • I don’t bother repairing things, it’s easier and cheaper to buy new ones

  • I buy bigger cars just in case sometimes I need more space

  • I eat beef very frequently, it’s just burps and farts  

  • I leave the lights on at home because it looks great and it’s cheap

  • I don’t buy reusable cutlery or bottles, I prefer to use plastic ones

“Water waste is not my fault”, however

  • I take long and hot showers every morning because I enjoy them 

  • I let water flow while I’m brushing my teeth, it’s just one minute

  • I set the dishwasher at half load, I don’t like to wash them

  • I set the washing machine at half load because I “need” this specific shirt for tomorrow

  • I eat very frequently beef and other food that requires a lot of water  

  • I buy new clothes every month

  • I don’t care about buying goods whose production takes tons of water

“Bullying is not my fault”, however

  • I make fun of people

  • I make jokes of people who can not defend themselves

  • I share those videos which ruin lives

  • I don’t speak up in certain situations

  • I don’t try to include people who are being left

  • I don’t consider that some comments may be offensive

“Hunger is not my fault”, however

  • I throw away food every day at home

  • I go to restaurants even if I have food spoiling in my fridge

  • I don’t donate food to local organizations

  • I don’t collaborate with organizations that help in other countries 

  • 1.300 million tons of food (30% of what we consume) ends up in the garbage every year

We are not supposed to be perfect human beings

We are not supposed to do right everything listed above 

We are not supposed to act always correctly

However, it would be great if we think about what we do in our lives, and how we can help others
